We had a great July 3rd FUNdraiser

The best laid plans o' mice and men gang aft agley (R.Burns)!!

In spite of the pending thunderstorms, which didn't happen, our July 3rd event on the Common went very well:
  • The train was a roaring success and the last ride was at around 9pm! For once, all those who wanted a ride got one.
  • The balloon was not as successful: we started late because of weather uncertainties and finished after only 8 ascents, for the same reason
  • The chicken and fries guys .... well, they called in the morning to .... wait for it ..... Drum Roll please .... Chicken Out, for the same reason.
So it goes! Maybe we'll try some new entertainments next year.

    Too bad about the balloon but the train was a huge success!! I've got some great footage from the last seat and when we assemble/organize tapes I'll get them to Charles for your files.

    Way to go guys, lots of fun as usual!!

    Any of you guys out here in your rotary club helping some of my brothers and sisters Filipinos in the Philippines who became victims of the recent typhoon Ondoy?
